Irish Lions fans celebrate in Sydney
The British and Irish Lions have secured their first series in 16 years after a wonderful win Down Under today.
The Lions romped home to an impressive 41-16 win over Australia, taking the series 2-1.
The Lions could not have dreamed of a better opening. They were in front in under 90 seconds with England prop Alex Corbisiero touching down from close range.
Jonathan Sexton, George North and Jamie Robert each scored a try in what was a dominating second half from the Lions.
Leigh Halfpenny was in exceptional form, kicking 21 points, the most by a Lions player in a test match.
Speaking after the match coach Warren Gatland said: "I don't take a lot of pleasure out of that after the last three or four days. It's been a hard few days.
"You always doubt decisions, but you have to make those hard calls sometimes. We were prepared to take the flack. I don't want to gloat, but it was a tough call."
